Sophia Tran is a compassionate Clinical Psychologist and Board-approved Supervisor based in Croydon, in Sydney’s Inner West. She provides a warm and supportive environment for clients to explore their experiences, develop insight and identify effective approaches to handling life’s challenges. She enjoys working collaboratively with clients to bring out their individual strengths and create positive change.
Sophia has extensive experience in range of evidence-based psychological approaches including Schema Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment models, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In addition to Clarity Clinical Psychology, Sophia has previously held the position as Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor at the University of Sydney Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic, also known as GambleAware Central Sydney, where she provided treatment for people experiencing gambling harms and clinical supervision to staff. Sophia’s other clinical experience includes headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation and the MindSpot Clinic. She has previously trained at the University of New South Wales Psychology Clinic, Westmead Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit, Cumberland Hospital and Auburn Community Mental Health.
